Helping Students SucceedĬhristopher Perrello, Director of Career Services at the iSchool, has worked with students to prepare them for career fairs for three years now. Recognized companies like IBM and American Express came to meet with students. Students attend the fair in order to network with experts and future employers in the information and technology industry.Īt this semester’s career fair, more than 40 companies participated. The iSchool has its career fair every semester and iSchool alumni often come back as representatives of their companies to recruit students into entry-level positions. Projects in this focus area include Discovering Collaboration Network Structures and Dynamics in Big Data and Cyberinfrastructure-Enabled Collaboration Networks. Big metadata analytics focuses on understanding scholarly communication processes by using metadata from data repositories and other databases as the source to investigate the structures and dynamics of collaboration and intellectual networks as well as the impact of such networks on scientific capacity and knowledge diffusion. ![]()
